Still vety well written, but... how am I only at 50%?? O.O

I'm listening to this and I'm certain the perfect narrator was picked. Not a fan of the random sound effects, I fucking hate them honestly, but they can't keep me from enjoying this. Its wild how this book just doesn't slip character, it is so thoroughly rooted in, and written for, this particular time and place.
