I’ll be honest - I’m really struggling to understand the hype. Because of the premise of the story, there are few supporting characters, so it’s primarily Addie feeling sorry for herself despite being entirely to blame for her own situation, and it’s taken 170 pages for anything to actually happen. Yes, it’s written nicely, but I’m not sure it’s enough for me to endure another 400 pages…
