Oh my god that was so fucking good. Catherine, I hope you gaslight, gateekeep, girlboss your cunt father to death. Edyon and March, I hope you work out but that secret March is keeping will be the end of that. Ambrose, you poor, poor fucker. This guy isn’t catching a break anytime soon. And Tash? Well, I hope she does. Poor girl. All that being said, this very much felt like set-up, the book. Still great though.

I will say it was clever of Brigant and its bastard King to use the wedding as a ruse to kill the king and his nobles. It failed, hopefully, but either way, I think Aloysius will get what he wants. A foothold in Pitoria in the north where the demons are. All for more smoke for his child-army, whom I’m guessing are empowered by the demon smoke.

Oh March, you poor traumatized fucker. Him and his sins of the father thinking. It doesnt help Holywell is a bad influence. And also working for the people who slaughtered him. As I said, the cognitive dissonance is something else there.

Edyon’s love at first sight for March is pretty funny. I ship it but he’s like, oh the soothsayer mentioned a handsome stranger, guess he’s the one. A shame he’s his kidnapper. Alas.

Im worried for Edyon. Him, Tash, and Catherine are my favorites so far. I like March but he’s a pawn and cant yet see it. Hope he smells the greek coffee soon

Aloysius is one ambitious bastard. Invading Pitoria AND apparently invading Calidor as well. It’s gotta be the demon’s smoke. It must do something. Guess we’ll find out

Noyes presence means that Pitoria is in danger. Obviously Calidor is on Aloysius’ radar but so is Pitoria. That child-army is related somehow.
