part 1 was wonderful, on the makings of the corleone family. part 2 was about johnny and his love life and its connection to nino and the corleone’s. would’ve been fine without that part. part 3 was equally wonderful, it was about how the don became the don. it held valuable lessons on leadership as well. part 4 is a mix of side character stories, also a nice section. part 1 remains the most enthralling yet.

i love it so far. mario puzo’s writing style easily can appeal to all. his descriptions of the don are so vivid it makes you feel like you’re already watching the movie. similarly, his descriptions of eye movement and bodily gestures are so fluent that the actors should not have had a hard time imagining what was wanted of them.
