IMO I liked this series, but if you're still not into it more than 50% of the way through maybe it's just not for you? In general, I give books around 25-35% to get my attention. Though, if you do decided to stick around the ending for this book is verrrry unexpected!
I am also struggling with it. I pick it up read a bit then put it down again. I hate DNFing a book so I hope that eventually I will get into it because people seem to like it.
