In this part of the book most of the sentences of one of Greenberg's quotes in them some how. An example is, " Cochrane " lost sight of the ball" and it " crushed into his left temple with a moist, sickening sound." This is about Mickey Cochrane the catcher that always supported Greenberg.

At this point and time Greenberg was in the Great Depression and Professional league baseball wasn't a high paying job but that year Greenberg earned three thousand dollars. But all the Jewish people were waiting for someone like him, to give them hope. That was Greenberg.

Hammer in' Hank Greenberg is not the first Jewish baseball player but he is the most well known. Hank has been through a lot of important parts in American History, some include, he was alive at the time of Hitler, and he worked with Jackie Robinson. In the beginning of this story Robinson is being bullied and Greenberg tries to keep Robinsons head up because he knows the feeling of being alone.
