Good riddance Cecil Vyse. You will not be missed. I’m so glad Lucy broke things off with Cecil; I despised him and his ego, though I was surprised by how he carried himself following the breakup. Nonetheless I am glad. On the topic of George I am not so sure, but I would tend to think that going to Greece is not the ideal maneuver for Lucy. Only two chapters remain so I’m sure Lucy will make her decision soon.

I thought this was a good chapter. As I’ve previously stated I much prefer George to Cecil; he is much nicer whereas Cecil is so grating. I wonder how this novel will come to a conclusion. Which of the two men will Lucy choose, and how will this news be broken to each? So much is yet to be answered with less than a quarter of the novel left. I am interested to see how Forster concludes this story.

I found Charlotte to be much more bearable this section, mainly in part to the fact that I much prefer George to Cecil, and she seemingly does as well. Cecil still annoys me. He is awfully snobbish, but the rest of the cast I am most liking at the moment. I’m not sure what to think of Lucy; I hope that she will realize how she feels about George soon. At the moment I am not overly fond of how she is acting.

This Cecil dude has to be the biggest cuck in history bro I hope Lucy and George end up together he would deserve it. I don’t much care for Cecil. He is so snobby and annoying. I think George is much more free and human which I like. I enjoyed the last chapter I read in which he, Freddy, and Mr. Beebe run around the pool and have fun. This is really the first time any of the characters have actually been personable

Maybe it’s just me but almost every character in this book is insufferable in my opinion. Lucy is great as the lead, but all the people are (intentionally to be fair) really annoying other than old Mr. Emerson. I’m sure that was Forster’s intention but oh my goodness I find to many of these characters to be annoying. Hopefully the focus will shift to George and Lucy, I’m sure that will be more interesting.

So far I am liking A Room with a View. The characters all have their charm, and I am quite fond of the novel’s setting in Italy. I wonder how the relationship between George and Lucy will progress. So far I find George to be quite the enigma, but I like all the characters to this point. I look forward to continuing this story. It is relatively short so I’m sure the next chapters will be important and interesting.
