Hmmmm. Don't love a former Marine MMC. We'll have to see how that plays out. I also don't feel like there's much chemistry happening between anyone right now. Even the sibling dynamics don't feel quite right...

Okay, I'm not hooked yet, pun not intended. I didn't love the prologue, but I so rarely do. And, 1st person pov can be a hard sell for me. But, I think I like Maren's voice so far. I'm willing to give this a little more time.
