Andrew’s “heart” was his notebook that he cut up and buried. Ending the monsters and their reign. He has Thomas on his lap and asks him if he’s real. Thomas says to kiss him and find out.

Thomas (is he real now?) tells Andrew that the reason him and Dove fought was because it was about Andrew. Thomas wanted to ask Andrew to be his bf but Dove wanted it to just be the 3 of them so she storms off and dies. Lana hates Andrew because she saw Thomas taking the opportunity to still be with Andrew after Dove’s death. The forest consumes Andrew in front of Thomas

5 months earlier. Thomas has an argument with Dove. Dove goes into the woods to climb a tree and she falls and hits her head and dies. Andrew couldnt register this and when Thomas was apologizing thats when he punched the mirror until his hand was shredded. Dove is dead and it was Thomas’ fault.

Andrew brings Dove into the woods. Dove tells andrew that Thomas murdered his parents before school started. Andrew has been making up Thomas in his head this whole time

Andrew runs away into the woods

He finds Thomas but Thomas says that couldn’t have been Dove he was talking to. Because Dove is dead.

There’s allusions that Dove is mad at Thomas because she thinks he hurt/raped her in the woods. Thomas denies ever being in the woods. Andrew left to find Dove and find out.

Andrew finds Thomas’ last painting of Andrew,Thomas, and Dove and shreds it apart. As he leaved the art room he trips and his hand touches the foot of Bryce hanging from the ceiling with a forest growing out of him.

Bryce reports andrew for sneaking in the woods. The school is going to expel him. Bryce bumps into Andrew in the hall but Andrew has had enough and shoves him and threatens he’ll kill him if he tried that again. Moss is growing out of Andrew’s hand

Andrew kills the monster all by himself and he feels powerful and strong for the first time in his life. He embraces Thomas forgetting about their fighting before.

Thomas confronts Andrew to apologize at the dining hall. They get into it and then a monster comes out and everyone is screaming

Thomas was the reason Andrew punched his hand through the mirror last year. But Andrew has no idea what she’s talking about. There’s a hidden mystery to dove and thomas’ fight and there’s a mystery with Dove’s actions/attitude lately. She’s isolating from everyone.
