I must say when I first starting reading The Black Prism, I thought , ummmm magic is kind of like The Warbreaker. After reading more,that couldn't be further from the truth. The magic system is very unique and, outside of Brandon Sanderson, one of the best in today's fantasy. I'm really loving this story.
