I don't understand.. Rook being in Alabaster doesn't make sense to me..? The others are being blackmailed by the Ivory by threatening their families but Rook doesn't have that? Is it just that he doesn't want to die?

I feel so bad for Velle... I think it is something with him being in a forced relationship with the Ivory and hating it for over a decade.

But at least Rook and Joy make him feel good. This chapter was the hottest of them all 😮‍💨
