feels fitting to touch this book for the first time since i studied it for lit (which is actually 4 years ago? i truly can't believe it) on a palm sunday.
...so yes, here i am, re-reading this. definitely more than my third time seeing this pink cover and getting nightmares over it, but it's the second time i will be reading it cover-to-cover without a teacher breathing down my neck on how to feel about it.

i know from the start that kambili got a pretty strict dad, but it seriously crosses the line to physically harm your child for some SiN that doesn't even exist as far as i know (ok so sorry if you don't like spoilers, i won't specify further)! and just because your family doesn't follow your religion does not give you the right to call them hEaThEnS.
