Viciously twisted and unexpectedly at times even hilarious, possibly the closest I can think of that could be near to "extreme horror theatre" if that's a thing.

Having a little Tolkien breather by reading some of the shorter books I have lying around, including a few plays - always heard The Pillowman was twisted, and I'm a big fan of Martin McDonagh's films, so very excited for this one!
