Notes:
(1) So, this was teetering between three and four stars for me until the twist ending, which, while not a complete surprise, was interesting enough to tip this over the edge.
- Despite enjoying the ending in general, I'd prefer the franchise shed all its magical elements, lore/origin notwithstanding.
