@Samantha what I think Jupiter is trying to say is that as Christian’s we are told to not get in a serious relationship with a non Christian. So he’s not necessarily worth less she just can’t get seriously involved unless he becomes a Christian.

@samantha oh sorry i totally didn't mean it that way. no it doesn't lower his worth at all i just don't want a committed relationship with a non-Christian because it will be unequally yoked. sorry for sounding mean 😭
Wait wait wait, I’m catholic and I’ve never been told to not have a relationship with a non Christian? What specific religion are you guys? I’m allowed to marry whoever I want regardless or religion, race, social class, or gender.
Don't get into a relationship hoping he'll change, though. I see some people doing that (and offering that advice) and that'd be a terrible idea. You'd still be unequally yoked and you can't make someone be a Christian either! That is between him and God, and him changing for YOU isn't good either...Not to sound mean or judging; I just think it is a good reminder. If I sounded harsh, I am sorry since it wasn't my intention 😅
@Lenabelle,I am personally nondenominational and a Christian. But the Bible is clear on marriage is to be between one man and one woman and that a Christian should not marry an unbeliever (2 Corinthians 6).
Have a good day! Hope that helps. (I am merely trying to answer and not start an argument with your or anyone else wondering) :)
@shades Also not trying to start an argument, last thing we all need lol. But I was wondering where the bible states that? I always hear people say that but I can never find something that says that so I was wondering like what passages or parts say that?
I’ve been in this same situation girl. but that’s a bye! because you shouldn’t settle for someone who doesn’t love Jesus. If he doesn’t love Jesus he won’t know how to love you properly. A man of God is what we all need 💗
@lena well im nondenominational but i guess you could call me evangelical or calvanist, but that passage is in the second half of 2 Corinthians 6, starting with verse 14. (race and social class don't matter for us as well in case you were wondering)@shades ur good lol i wasn't planning on dating him unless he changes and shows significant fruit 🙂↕️
@anastasia 😭

Which part? I used 2 Corinthians 6 for the unequally yoked portion; are you asking about the man and woman part?

no literally, especially since of my politics(VERY LIBERAL) i always find guys who share my same beliefs but arent christian and its pissing me off.
Ur neighborhood book nerd wrote: "no literally, especially since of my politics(VERY LIBERAL) i always find guys who share my same beliefs but arent christian and its pissing me off."i feel like it would be more of a deal breaker if they were against evrything I stand for than not being christian, but i would still like to be with someone from my same religion
