Book two is finished. Book one's theme was - freedom and confinement are not always antitheses. And in book two, the author plays with the theme of time and relevance. Life goes on, titles and fame get insignificant... Book two got more momentum, loving the journey with Count Rostov's.

Book one finished... very well written! The confined life of an aristrocat in the new Russia, after the Revolution of 1920s, is portrayed inside hotel Metropol. I am glued to the story, but even more liking the writing!
