After that riveting scene with the faceless demon giving Joar a glimpse of the otherworld, this long stretch with Wiktoria, despite its charming moments, really needs to modulate. Things are sagging at this point. But I assume it's the lull before the supernatural storm.

Joar, younger spectrumy astrophysicist neurotic incel brother of Syvert, is an intriguing narrator. Set in Oslo a while after the new star went out. A fun visit from Syvert (odd couple dynamic, interesting also in terms of how it may relate to Yngve/Karl Ove dynamic). An LOL yet sympathetic scene getting an ultrasound. Moving through it at ~2-3% per day, enjoying it. Fans of Pavel Florensky are in for a treat.
