Still reading the Novella parts, pretty sure the Trees were called Patjis fingers in the original one though. I could have guessed the pool was a well of some sort, very interesting that shadesmar looks different accessing it via Yolen without the strange sun. Also I don‘t get why there is water everywhere, they are on an island, the sea should be land in shadesmar.
