I have noticed some of Montgomery's writing can come across as theologically "off". I especially felt that whilst reading her "Emily" series, but that has also been my impression while reading "Chronicles" too. I tried expressing this to Thomas, but couldn't quite explain the subtle qualities that seemed "off". Thomas had to sit and read part of a short story for himself before he picked up on it, too. It's odd.
