This part was Kara’s death and I found it very uninteresting at first because of the magic shows, but it started becoming interesting when it came closer to her death because she was hearing knocks from Simon. He was communicating with her. It abruptly ended though and wasn’t fully clear how she died only had a little assumption. But she basically died by suicide to prove magic is real? Don’t really get that?

Part 1 was a little long with too many details of Simon’s life. The end of his life came abruptly compared to all the long unnecessary details and chapters about him before. It happened so quick that if you blinked you’d miss it? It was sad nonetheless because he died at 20yrs old with Daniel being very cold towards him on the last phone call.
