I have two friends who looooove Jayne Castle (Jayne Ann Krentz / Amanda Quick), so I thought I'd give this one a try for .75 cents. I think I overpaid. Alpha hero, lagoon-eyed female, alternating viewpoints (come on, lust is dead boring to read about from one perspective, much less two), sex within the first couple of chapters, very little of the paranormal archaeology I came for. Hard pass.
