I wonder if the first time I read this book I read it in Czech, maybe when I was a teen. There's a rating from 2016, but no review, which means I probably just marked it 10 yrs ago as "Oh yeah, I've read this, was OK."

I'm definitely enjoying it more this time round. Or enjoying. It's not as depressing to me as The Beiatiful and Damned, but I definitely find it very melancholy. What I mean is, it's more than just OK
