The rising action has become so intense, the suspense so powerful, that I think I must finish this book tonight.

It's no Between Two Fires, but it's good. It is hard to follow Mary by Nat Cassidy, wherein main character joins a community with strange historical rituals, but I'm still able to take this as its own work.
