After all the 3 and 4 star books I’ve read lately it feels so weird not to bitch about what I’m reading. I have no notes. I’m attached to all the characters and deeply invested in the story. Pacing is good, prose is good, etc.

This book loves to have the narrator look me in the eyes and explicitly say “this character is a bad guy” and then make them so irresistibly sympathetic. This will surely cause me pain later

The sequel is so good 😭 how am I already almost halfway through?? The prose is great and the characters and crumbs of hints at the magic system have me HOOKED
