This book is very near and dear to my heart, it is the first chapter book I ever read, finished and fell in love with after being diagnosed with dyslexia and has remained my favorite book ever since. I've most likely read it about fourteen to sixteen times, roughly twice a year since fourth grade. Right now the protagonist--Amelia--is currently lying on her back attempting to charm a chicken out from under a shed.
