Nearly a quarter way through and the exposition has been very light. I've clearly landed in another world, but the history of it has yet to be explained. Feeling like I've been dropped in and expected to follow along while holding onto my questions; I suppose it's a good thing I'm well read? Militant hierarchies, leviathans, human alterations...thus far, I think fans of Asimov & Herbert would enjoy.
