I love how complex and multidimensional the characters are. Especially with Mar and Thornton. It makes them very humane and real. You get to form one opinion on them until they say a line that makes you completely change that opinion in another direction. Also the topics of discussion the characters have could be boring to some, but I find them very interesting and applicable even today. Its makes us think
