Sad and dark. Leanings toward the current culture which is fascinating because he wrote it in 1939. Reminds me Romans 1:21 “they became futile in their thinking, their foolish hearts were darkened, claiming to be wise they became fools.” This is all humanity can come up with. I’m the end-futile and hopeless. Thankful my life has Jesus-the light and hope of the world!
