“Oh Raoul, why do you condemn a man whom you have never met, whom no one knows and about whom even you yourself know nothing.”
Heartbreaking. And oh my god raoul is obsessive he genuinely enrages me. So gripping, I’m hooked

This book is sublime. Amazing palette cleanser from The burning god. Beautiful prose, symbolism, metaphors, and imagery.
Just beware it’s quite confusing at the beginning and you get a sense of direction around chapter 5 which id like page 48

I am genuinely in love.
“The angel was never seen but could be heard by those who were meant to hear.”
I AM IN LOVE 🥹
“You will hear him someday, my child. When I am in heaven, I will send the angel to you I promise.”
The prose is seraphic. I LOVE IT

So so so captivating I’m honestly in love with the writing style. The story. EVERYTHING. My senses are telling me that there is gonna be an obsessive love triangle.

Alittle confusing I don’t know what road to follow yet but I love the prose
“He clutched his chest with both hands, in an attempt to quieten his heart. But you cannot muzzle a heart as you would a hound. And even a hound muzzled with two hands to prevent it from barking unbearably can still be heard growling.”
