I hate to say it, but this is beginning to turn into a slog.

Very, VERY good book so far. Loving the world-building and characters so far. Only small complaint is that I've noticed some characters can be inconsistent. They'll say something one paragraph, and then the next they'll say something to contradict it. It might be intentional, but I'm not a fan. Just a minor nitpick though.
