Every singular event and interaction that happens is followed by paragraphs of monologue explaining why it occurred. I’m finishing this book because I’m too far in not to but this writing style is so unnatural and contrived. When they tell authors to ‘show and not tell’ this should be the prime example of what not to do it’s driving me insane peace and love
