Found this at a charity book shop last week-end ♡◝(ᵔᵕᵔ)◜.
I really wanted to start the series from its first installment, DOUBLE WHAMMY(Skink #1); instead I'll go with the wishes of the Universe and start with this one. It carries no "#" attached to the title to indicate where is falls in the series. The gr blurb indicates that Carl Hiaasen's beloved Skink character has appeared in 6 books previous to this one.

Valerie, Any order will work. There are connections and recurring characters, Skink being the most prevalent, but Hiaasen manages to back fill when necessary without restating entire histories. My favorite guilty pleasure storyteller.
