this is a book about how imperialism affected latin america. so far i’ve learnt about mines, gold, and silver. i used to think that a country with natural resources is bound to economic prosperity but boy was i naive. european mind meets rest of the world’s history. heart cries for all the indigenous livelihoods and knowledge lost.
