Harriet Beecher Stowe was a word charmer! Here’s an excerpt of a description of CHAIRS:
“… A small…rocking chair… And a larger-sized one, motherly and old, whose wide arms breathed hospitable invitation, seconded by the solicitation of its feather cushions, – a real comfortable, persuasive, old chair, and worthy [of] a dozen of your…drawing–room gentry.”
I just want to wrap myself up in her prose!

This book has me reading faster than I can turn the pages. Beautiful. Strong. Powerful. So far an easy and resounding 5stars.
