Sometimes you read the right book at the right time, I had just been to Lola Cafe in Logan square which she mentions in the introduction! Her writing is beautiful, I love the through line of her coffee ritual in cafes around the world, and I love her cowboy who tells us “it’s not easy writing about nothing”.
