One of the biggest downsides to this series is that the author didn't use a copyeditor, and it shows. I just read a sentence where the author wrote about creatures "clamoring up a wall" and it's the second time I've seen that incorrect word used. And it's obvious the author meant clambering, not a bunch of baddies making a lot of noise. Errors like that take me out of the story. Boo hiss.
