It's a little fascinating to observe that, despite bitter blue-and-pink-painted stop signs, Beth and Robbie have a lot more in common than Beth and Fran do.

Turns out that when you peel back all of the layers of viscera, what you end up with is A Novel in a line of A Novels. Torrey Peters, Nevada.

Beth reminiscing about her shitty housemates is the most "ah, shit" thing I've read since like, Light From Uncommon Stars.

Current Objective: Figure out why the fuck I have to deal with Ramona's accursed mind palace.

This still feels kinda like it's The Torture Beth Hour, but uh I guess Joke's On You I'm Into That Shit now.

My brain said that all of the narration had the same tone last I read, but the perspectives are actually really distinct. Even without considering how dumb Fran is :>

Me realising I actually kinda dig Manhunt upon thinking in sync with the book itself that Fran is like, the absolute worst.

Weirdly cathartic to be reading this and be like Yeah, Serious Weakness or something is way more hardcore than this.

Oh no, does this actually kind of kick ass? Uh-oh!

Oh, I like how different Robbie's perspective is, like when he looks at our two doofuses it's like they're different people. Huh.
