The sheer lack of thought put into this book is honestly entertaining. It's a juvenile, simplistic, bundle of 2010's YA Fantasy tropes put in a blender.

How come Fallon doesn't ask simple, logical, obvious questions??? And, how come she knows things she would never know, and then be completely genuinely shocked to hear that same thing get told to her 20 pages later?

This author is looking for any and all convenient ways to avoid character/plot/theme development and worldbuilding as much as possible.
