Wow this is the first time we actually kind of hear from the family directly, and it’s the last page. 10/10

These people are pissing me off. But it’s so realistic. If this happened in real life, of course people would use it as an excuse to be racist.

Anyway I’m glad charges weren’t filed because if they were I would be so mad. I’ve been on the family’s side. Also, why has nobody theorized that it could’ve been the boyfriend? Especially since they ended things horribly. IMO if not accidental, he did it.

I LOVEEEE how Zorah is either too modest and controlled or too liberal and wild depending on the perspective. From all the Afghan perspectives, they think she shows way too much skin and is disrespectful to their culture, but to her friends, she is too controlled and very respectful of her culture at all times.

I am loving all the perspectives we get in this book. I assumed that the gossip the blurb talked about would be liked interludes, but it appears to be the whole book! This is going to be a blast to piece together <3
