I don't know what all the other reviewers on this site are on about. They make Sam out to be the kind of skeptic who sees a werewolf and says "what a big coyote." Every reaction she's had is something any reasonable person (who's not afraid of bugs like me) would have to the mildly strange things happening.

I'm absolutely loving Sam as a character so far. She's just as funny and interesting as I like my protagonists. I'm not a bug guy, but reading her talk about bugs make me wish I was.

So far things are more mildly creepy than outright scary, but honestly? That's the exact experience I was looking for. I'm more than happy to curl up with the creepy cozy vibes for now.

Great start! Loving the cozy vibes and the humor. There's a subtle sense of unease that I love in horror books. Can't wait to keep reading!
