started on the laws section: a fellow named Marcus is describing how justice is derived from nature, goodness should be pursued in its own right, and also that he is too busy to write a history even though he would be very good at it.

Cicero writes a dialogue so far heavily led by Scipio about the ideal government system, and various values. "Scipio" (Cicero) praises religious rituals, a mixed constitution (Monarchy with a senate of aristocrats and voting rights for the plebeians), and reason as the ultimate value. I am not a roman citizen so not super relevant to my life but so far an interesting insight into roman politics and philosophy.
