For her time, releasing this book is even more daring than the books of any of her other sisters because she doesn’t hide her true values and classical feminist ideals through poetic devices; it’s straightforward and upfront. Unlike Jane from Charlotte Brontë’s book, she doesn’t merely endure abuse—it’s not some dark romance fantasy.
