Just straight into the terms, definitions, and examples, you know? And these aren’t organized too well. I’d rather have started off with good rhetoric as a whole, a better intro chapter if you may.

It feels like… it’s glossing over some things essential to effective, compelling speech.

The bad, is that the language in the book does not display the mastery of eloquence I had hoped for. The good, is that this is like my 3rd grade english class but way better taught. Like, I actually understand the cleverness and reasonable application of these tools. They’re not key terms I have to memorize definitions for.
