RIP Dostoevsky, you would’ve hated Fanduel. A very aimless book in my opinion, just spends so much time hating on Germans and Russians and Frenchmen. Some commentary on gambling and a bit of tease of what Pollina needs the money for. But otherwise, not sure what the motivation is in this book

Really out here spending time reading about two people acting like school children. Still not quite sure what the motivating act is for this book, what is to push the plot forward which is crazy for being a quarter of the way through. It’s just Alexander trolling the entire time

The prose in this book is so hard to follow, I take it that’s the Russian? I like the idea that a “will they, won’t they” thing is a tale as old as time. Interested to see where this goes
