Andrew Meredith Four Evangelical myths concerning the Reformation:

1.) The Reformation was anti-tradition (as if Sola Scriptura meant "away with tradition!")

2.) The Reformation was anti-catholic (as if the true gospel and the true church had been lost since the days of the apostles, only to be recovered in the sixteenth century and faithfully preserved by means of an intentional schism and split from the church)

3.) The Reformation was anti-medieval (as if all the "Dark Ages" were a mistake to be repented from)

4.) The Reformation was anti-philosophy
