Crystal Frost Is it worth the read? I heard bad reviews about it.

I personally loved it 🤷‍♂️...
which is why I rarely read reviews BEFORE I read something and pay little attention to the ones I do read. Unless, of course, that person's named "Crystal". 😉

It's on Comixology. You need a subscription, if you don't already have one, with all the graphic novels you read ... I think it's $6/month. Then you can read it before deciding if you want the hard copy. 🤷‍♂️ I do hope you enjoy 'Death Note' ... fascinating plot!! 🤯

Crystal Frost I don’t have a Comixology subscription bc when it comes to graphic novels/manga, I need the actual book in my hands to feel the story better. May sound crazy but I need to see the illustrations from the book.

Daniel Okay 🤷‍♂️. I can see it exactly like the book on my tablet so I don't really understand.

Crystal Frost Respect your elders and understand that sometimes us old folks like it the original way 😆🫶

Oh, I totally understand the appeal of physical books. I always have one or two physical books going along with several digital books ... currently Death Note and Devious Desire. I just didn't understand your comment "I need to see the illustrations from the book". I see everything on my tablet exactly the same way as it is in the physical book so that comment flummoxed me. 🤷‍♂️ However, I certainly can't afford to buy every book/graphic novel I read ... roughly 300 per year! 😱

I thought maybe you just had an e-reader and could only see text and not illustrations with digital books.

Crystal Frost I just recently in the last month read a book via the Kindle app. I HATED reading a book on my phone!! And misplaced my tablet long ago but still REFUSED to read a book on tablet. It used to be an actual book had to be in my hands ….im slowly changing my ways.

I would NEVER read on my phone. I have an 11" HD Fire Tablet ... so it's basically the same size as a book with two pages side by side. Graphic novels look brilliant on it! I read those with the tablet turned "tall", one page at a time. My book budget is limited since I have several other addictions that also demand their cut of my expendable income. 😂 So I have to limit my bought books to special books that I can't find on KU or Comixology or my library. I find great deals on eBay ... rarely pay full price on Amazon. Rotating my reading between a couple of physical books and 3-4 digital books and an audiobook at bedtime works with my budget.
