Larkin had faith that Cian wouldn't have turned. They fought the party, Larkin patched up Cian's hip. Teased him about Moria kissing his butt. They watched. Moria was unhappy that they did that. No risks. But it worked. Hoyt and Glenna go up to do more magic, Blair trains alone, and Moria reads about the Valley. She disagreed that they should do something for F re valley. His will is stronger.

They flew near the Valley. It came over him quickly. He thought of biting Larkin. They land but Larkin remained Hunan. Cian fought, eyes red, sweaty. He held onto the locket. Calmed him a little. He settled. It won't affect him again. The cross Larkin wore, may have helped save him. They find some. Use the bomb. Delayed reaction. Cian takes an arrow in the hip. More ppl. He wants the hunt, so jumps 30 feet down.

How she gave him her treasured locket. He thinks he tripped at the time she aimed the arrow at him and then apologized. He thinks of her orange seeds, the pen he saw she stole. He wants to see her orange blossom. They land and catch up w Isleen. Move on to find that Lilith attacked. Like Cian and Blair said. But their ppl survived. Fought. Larkin's bro was okay. Told of Tynan. They fly to see if Lilith's ppl are out.

He asked for a lock of her hair. He won't leave, this time, without saying goodbye. More tears! Fun! They say bye. Glenna handed Cian the mud bomb. Blair kisses Larkin. Moria runs out. Her dad had a locket w her hair already in it. She added another. And magic. She kissed in front of everyone. They will join them in two days. Moria knows that they all will not return. Cian thinks of her. How much he loves her.

She goes back to the group. They discuss what to do. Cian volunteers to go and stay. Fill ppl in, send reports from the field. He needs to see the battlefield. Larkin will go too, w the dragons. Moria is sick at sending them both. She goes to confront him. He confessed that he was always going to leave. But...he didn't think he was good for her. So she snapped at him. Tired of that shit. She wants more time w him.

At Tynan's grave, his mother snapped at Cian and them. Then spat at him. Niall went w Cian inside, told him what he saw in Sean is not in Cian. How Cian carried Tynan. He wouldn't have wanted Cian to be insulted by his kin. Any man who fights w Niall, fights w Cian. They shook hands. Was he still Sir Cian when he came back? Did he become King Cian? Did they still rule or did their kids? F her stupid ignorant aunt.

Cian kept asking to do it. She needed too. She loved him like King. He was her first kiss. Larkin was his friend. After, she fell weeping and he held her.

Stop bringing up the leaving!! They are both pre-grieving. He helps sketch out how to build indoor plumbing lol. Their night was interrupted by two riders approaching. Sean, the one taken, has been changed. I believe it's Tynan he has too. Davey got Tynan. Moria used the flaming sword to put Sean to rest. Cian went down to get him. Niall stopped a guard from disrespecting Cian via evil cross. Moria cleaned Tynan up.

She wanted one night of just them. No war talk. Dinner, wine and each other. She asked of his travels. Confessed to taking three rose cuttings, a pic of her and Larkin that Glenna took and a Yeats book. Cos he was Irish and it was Cian's. I am of course tearing up. This book is too much!!! Why do I like so much?? She takes him out on the balcony. She is his light but he knows it will be squashed when he leaves. :'(

Back up, so they traded insults re their deaths and funerals. Then Cian spoke of Nola. It's hard for him to have all these feelings and survive. He feels too much for Moria too. Hoyt was happy that Nola scared Lilith. Cian mentions how he doesn't know if Hoyt survived. He rode away for a bit. Thought of her. The sun flag went up. He would take her light w him when he left. She waited for him and understood the need.
