I actually like the mc too, and now Arin’s actions make more sense to me at least

Idk I didn’t feel the buildup for the romance very much. That was the poorest execution of the whole book

I feel as though I could figure out all these secrets and upcoming plot twists but I really don’t feel like it
I want to see this girl unleeasshed
People said this was true enemies to lovers and I can almost see it but I still feel like they didn’t hate each other enough or for long enough. She was more afraid, and he was more plotting and planning

The writing is very good, but the cliches are getting to me
Mentioning how all the soldiers are amazing and easily taking one down while 5 years out of practice?
The whole ‘harsh mentor’ thing
And I’m sick of ppl having brutal reputations and not living up. Like how’d you get it then?
Arin is a walking cliche and not behaving at all how he’s been explained? Makes no sense other than for romance 😔 forced
