This is fantastic - the writing is gorgeous, sensitive, deep. She is exploring themes of climate catastrophe, migration, misogyny, racism, toxic masculinity and the rise of white nationalism in a really subtle (and in other ways, not so subtle) way. It's female centric, Indigenous/anti-colonial oriented, speculative (it's set in the very near future). What a mix, and how carefully blended. This is masterful.
