Amanda Tyler is 10% done

Why is there a whole sex scene with some random dude we (the reader) have just met? So unnecessary. The emotional beats have no weight to them because we were literally just introduced to this guy at the beginning of the scene, and everything the author is trying to convey about Shadera either has already been said another way or could easily be inferred in observing her behavior.

So far this is just a generic enemies-to-lovers that definitely needed more editing. Thereʼs probably no saving the lackluster world-building or shallow character work but hereʼs hoping the new publisher will at least attempt to give it a polish before the trad release.
